The last time cities rang out with the demand for “No Kings,” a guillotine was erected in front of the Paris City Hall. The entire leadership class had their noggins lopped off in front of cheering rabble.
Right now, historically speaking, we’re in the moment that comes just before that. At the Los Angeles No Kings protest, I saw crowds of thousands screaming and waving signs that all but demanded the violent overthrow of a sitting president. “No Kings!” they demanded of someone, somewhere.
Not a single protester in the crowd seemed to realize that if Donald Trump were their king, there would be no protest.
Of course, the mood at the protest was the usual: righteous anger and jubilation. To my eyes, the crowd looked mostly harmless. There were lots of average white Boomers in big hats and fanny packs, and plenty of younger people with all the markings of a “woke” sensibility.
Beneath the veneer of their garden-variety looks, you could still sense the incredible anger in the crowd. Their appetite for blood has been whetted as of late by two graphic and public displays of bloodletting: Charlie Kirk’s gruesome execution and Donald Trump’s sniper bullet to the flesh.
The powder keg is about to blow. All it will take is a Robespierre-esque leader to light the fuse.
Lest you think I’m exaggerating, I’ll double down: There were actual recorded calls for murder from multiple homicidal Democrats at the No Kings rallies this weekend, not to mention those online.
A 54-year-old man has been arrested on terrorism charges after allegedly telling a stranger at a gas station that he planned to “fight ICE agents.” David Cox was taken into custody Saturday after reportedly boasting about his intentions the night before and claiming he planned to firebomb ICE agents at a No Kings rally in New York City, per police.
Another, a normal-looking Boomer grandma, told a reporter she was thrilled Charlie Kirk was dead. She said, “Hitler is dead. I’m glad Hitler is dead. We might even have to be a little bit meaner.” Meaner than shooting Charlie Kirk in the throat? Does that mean, like, public disembowelings? Might get messy, lady. You don’t want entrails splashing onto your nice cashmere sweater.
The No Kings movement is co-founded by a nonprofit named Indivisible — a progressive network that emerged in late 2016, originally formed around a guide entitled Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda.
No Kings is funded, too, by the usual left-wing philanthropic class that seeks to destroy the United States: the Tides Foundation, the Ford Foundation, Open Society (George Soros’s org), and others. And it is openly sponsored by the same communist and socialist groups breeding Antifa supersoldiers and inciting the weak-minded to kill their enemies.
All this furor and funding is heading somewhere. Who will the Democrats’ Robespierre be?
Zohran Mamdani would be an option, but his focus is currently on driving the rich and the sane out of New York City. He’ll be too busy unlocking the jail cells of Gotham’s most violent repeat offenders and handing them free bus passes.
I suspect that the future instigator of the first wave of revolutionary murderers will be some radical feminist — maybe a Harvard gender studies professor, or maybe some celebrity female hopped up on SSRIs, Adderall, and Plan B. It remains to be seen, but mark my words: they’re coming.
Right now, the olds at the No Kings crowds are only holding Starbucks cups and signs. In the face of the upcoming Nazi reality they’re being sold as fact, what would it take to get them to pick up sticks, or knives — or even guns?
Not much, for many of them. Cashmere sweaters aside, there are plenty of lefties who see violence as justified under the right circumstances. A recent Washington Post poll found that conservatives were far more likely than liberals to reject political violence outright.
Among Republicans, 83% — and 88% of those who identified as “very conservative” — said political violence is never justified, compared with just 68% of liberals and 55% of the “very liberal.” On a related question, 91% of conservatives said it was “always or usually unacceptable” to feel happy about the death of a political opponent, while only 56% of “very liberal” respondents agreed.
These may be leftovers from the Sixties, but the peace and love of that era have been replaced with hatred and violence. Is this what happens to older couples when they decide to have dogs instead of children?
It’s no wonder they’re quivering with unsated bloodlust. After all, they believe the only thing standing between them and the American paradise is one man. And in a sense, I agree: When Trump eventually does leave office, his successor J.D. Vance will have eight years to cement a MAGA paradise in America.
Sorry, liberals. We don’t have any kings in this country, but we certainly have an heir to the throne — and we don’t deal in guillotines. You’ll need to figure out how to cope.

You're forgetting a few things Peachy, unlike the French the majority of Americans are prosperous, second most of us are happy with our unpaid president, third most of us including this 65 year old grandma are well armed and finally the majority of our military and law enforcement are on the RIGHT side. If all the demoncraps were so eager to overthrow our nation they wouldn't have to pay protestors and look at the quality of their protestors, fat, stoned, mentally ill especially their trannie crowd. We are not the endlessly failed French. We have plenty of idiots in the US but they don't love America and they don't have the balls to actually face their opposition. They are sneaks and cowards with their masks, costumes and drugg addicted mobs. They come to my house and they will get acquainted with my 12 gage that I have aimed at invaders since I was nine. I will die for my country, they won't. They may create some damage and chaos but payback is hell when you finally push patriotic Americans over the line.
Was surprised to find out last week that a couple of my (over 65) midwestern in-laws were planning to participate in their local "No Kings" event. They proudly bragged about it on Facebook and received the You-Go-Girl treatment from their "friends" there. I can guarantee you that if some conservative You Tuber had stuck a microphone in their faces and asked them what the heck they thought they were protesting, they wouldn't have been able to provide an answer. Seems clear to me they were doing nothing more than going along with the Hate-Trump crowd, virtue-signaling in their way, and coming out the other end thinking they had done something VERY GOOD and VERY BRAVE. Wish they could read Peachy's column and wake up from their delusions. (As IF!) But who knows, in the service of promoting family disharmony, maybe I will send it off to them.
