I’ve been working on several long fiction projects, and I just published my second nonfiction book (it’s called Supervillains and yes, you should get yourself a copy), but sometimes you need a palate cleanser from politics. At a party last weekend someone asked me about this short story I published a few years ago, so I went back and re-read it. This is the short story that got me my first novel contract, so I’m grateful to it.
